I raised quite some green monsters today when I told friends that I’ve booked a return flight to Sydney for only S$297.17. The fare is inclusive of all taxes with a 15kg lugguage allowance.
Flying to Sydney and back for under S$300! Such an incredible offer! What’s the catch? None really. Thanks to my ever regular travel buddy and smart bargain hunter, Eugene, I was told of the members-only offer which was valid one day before Scoot officially launches its online booking site. Scoot is the up and coming budget airline under the parentage of Singapore Airlines (SIA).
My last trip to Sydney was 12 years ago when I was studying in Melbourne. I’ve always wanted to visit again but the airfares cost in the excess of S$1,000 with regular air carriers. So when I saw Scoot’s offer, I didn’t spare a second thought even if I’m going on this trip alone.
Really looking forward to this trip and maybe plan a visit to Melbourne to visit my old school, RMIT (Royal Melbourne Insititute of Technology). Six months to plan! Anyone with tips of affordable accomodation and places to visit please share with me. Thanks!
