Its Absence is Proof of its Pressence

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

But God, did you forget to turn on the light for me? Then again, if I’m already living in your light, switching on another won’t make the day any brighter.

Thank you God, thank you Jesus. You know I’m slipping into becoming an Atheist-Christian, believing by habit not by faith.

But You continue to resound in my spirit (some call it “soul” but to me, “spirit” is heart and mind combined… a gut feel, intuition… sixth sense), letting me accept darkness so that I can understand what is light.

Please continue to illuminate me when darkness falls and though I continue to question your existence and have trouble finding my way, don’t forsake me.

Are You there God? Can you give me an obvious sign that only I will know it is from You?

Amen.

God is real and alive 🙂

    Jeremiah 29:11-14.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
