Day 121 : My Neighbourhood

‘Sungei’, also spelt ‘sungai’, is Malay for ‘river’. But in Singapore, I don’t think we have rivers anymore. They’ve all been turned into drains, stormwater canals and waterways that are the veins feeding our reservoirs. Although artificial, it’s still nice to come across a calm body of water. I find it soothing after a stormy day at work.
